We leave the Fort Worth ITC and head without any delay through notorious Tower 55 to enter the former T&P line. Quick running takes us through Abilene, Sweetwater (crew change). Midland, and Odessa to Monahans, junction with the Texas New Mexico Rialroad. We trade locomotives for TNMR power and head up the Permian Basin to Hobbs, NM arriving well after dark.
